Question of the Week

Mabinogians! Help is on the way with the new Beginner Benefits! How do you help your new friends start their Fantasy Life? Share any special tips?

I should have no objection to go over the same life from its beginning to the end: requesting only the advantage authors have, of correcting in a second edition the faults of the first. ~ Benjamin Franklin

Here's what some of your fellow Mabinogians had to say:

I teach my new friends how to fight and what items are best to have on hand. Basically tactics that will help them enjoy the game even at a lower level. - Philip N. .

I start off by giving them some cash to buy items and armor. I tell them not to get rid of anything without asking me first. Finally, I tell them to make sure to do all of the quests so they don't miss out on any special skills. - Cshawn C.

Always - ALWAYS - start off by going over ground rules so the player doesn't end up banned for something they don't understand. Give a few gold to help them start off, go with them through the first few quests...and also make sure to explain that clothes =/= armor. Because that aspect seems to get neglected a LOT.

And if they're an elf or giant, I'd explain that the opposite race's homeland should be avoided until higher levels, since the guards can...and will kill you. Then suggest being friends in case they need help later on. :D - Autumn C.
