Keeping Your Account Secure
Even if you already have a strong password, it’s important to consider potential risks to your account. By remembering these risks, you can do your part in keeping your account secure.
- The GMs and other Nexon employees will never ask for your password
- If you store your password somewhere, ensure that it is secure
- Use anti-virus and anti-spyware software frequently
- Reset your password and second password every 3 months
Creating a Strong Password
Here are some tips to remember when creating a secure password for your account.
- Use a mixture of case-sensitive, alphanumeric characters
- Use symbols before, in between, and/or after your password
- Avoid using dictionary words and sequential numbers or letters
- Do not use your personal information as your password
- Make sure that your account and email passwords are different. It is safer to have a different password for every account under your name (Nexon or otherwise)
A good password is something that only you, the user, should know. Remember that an account will no longer be secure once a password is discovered by another party, no matter how reliable and strong the password.
