The Alchemy of Flame Burst and Sand Burst
ANNOUNCE 4/1/2010 3:31:40 PM Adventurers enjoying Mabinogi Alchemist just got two new options to amaze their friends and confound their foes! The latest update to Mabinogi Alchemist adds the new Flame Burst and Sand Burst abilities. Flame Burst turns up the heat on enemies while Sand Burst temporarily blinds aggressors.
If you’re looking to confront a group of enemies, go for the Flame Burst. Using a Fire Crystal (from Eabha in Taillteann) for Flame Burst, you can shoot a stream of fire from your cylinder that will attack enemies up to three times with increasing damage after each charge. This skill does require you to be in close proximity to your foes, so make sure you have an after-attack plan!
Those who’ve learned Sand Burst and happen to own a Clay Crystal can throw sand into an enemy’s eyes and blind it temporarily. This will enable you to set up another skill or simply escape. Just be careful not to use Sand Burst consecutively, since sand causes erosion and you’ll risk damaging your cylinder.
Keep in mind that Sand Burst isn’t a high-damage ability, so it’s best used to escape or in conjunction with another attack ability.
