No one really knows from where this master of cuisine originates, but every Milletian from Vales to Emain Macha remembers the day he arrived. It was as if every restaurant in Erinn simultaneously went from three stars to five. The Culinary Artist's influence was so strong that he started a food revolution all over the world. Being a giant, his portions tend to be a bit... large, so if you ever happen to meet him be sure to bring your appetite!

New Additions

The Culinary Artist introduces a feast of updates and new content to Mabinogi. Enjoy new skills, new recipes, a new ingredient system plus updated ingredients, a new outfit, new weapon, new cooking methods, and updates to the cooking UI. If you're a Mabi-foodie then this is the update for you. Dive in and get ready for scrumptiousness.

Cooking Life Skill

New Skills

• A new skill called Catering has been added.
• This Life Skill can be obtained by:
  • Successfully using the Cooking Skill has a chance of unlocking Catering.
    • OR
  • Obtaining the Ace Character Card and selecting the Culinary Artist Talent.
• Combine various foods to create a Catering Dish.
• Once the Catering Dish has been created, it will be added to your inventory.
• Use the Catering Dish to place it on the ground.
• All players can use the catered feast and benefit from its effects.
• If more than one catered meal is created, only the effects of the most recently generated meal remains active.




• A new skill called Ingredient Hunting has been added.
• This Life Skill is obtained by:
• Completing the quest An Eye for Ingredients and reaching Rank F in Tasting.
  • OR
• Obtaining the Ace Character Card and selecting the Culinary Artist Talent.
• A passive skill that forces monsters to drop cooking related ingredients in addition to normal drops.
• Increases the drop rate of Leather and Cooking Ingredients based on skill rank. Drops include items from the newly updated list of ingredients.
• This skill can be trained by:
• Receiving cooking ingredients from monsters.
• Receiving normal drops from monsters.
• Receiving leather from monsters.




• A new skill called Tasting has been added.
• This Life Skill can be obtained by:
• Equipping a Cooking Utensil.
  • OR
• Obtaining the Ace Character Card and selecting the Culinary Artist Talent.
• A Passive skill that improves your cooking performance.
• Skill will increase the effectiveness of Food items.
• Increases the Production EXP rewards received by cooking dishes, based on your skill rank.
• Helps steady the measurement bar while cooking.

New Recipes

90 new recipes have been added to the Cooking Journal.

Updates to Ingredients

• Ingredients can now be stacked in your inventory, up to 20.
• NPCs in major towns will now sell a larger variety of ingredients, both individually and in bulk.
• Cooking dishes now provide Production EXP.

Cooking Methods

The following recipes have been updated and now use new cooking methods:

Increased Cooking Rank

• The Cooking Skill can now be trained to Rank 5.
• At Rank 5, the Steaming cooking method becomes unlocked.

UI

• The Cooking Skill Window UI has been updated.
• A dish drop-down menu has been added.
• Includes available recipes to use and the ingredient requirements for each.
• Stat effects of dishes created with the Cooking skill are now displayed in the Tooltip.
