Glossary:

• Fynn / Power of the Fynn: The very power which enables Pet Training.
• Fynni: Fairy souls imbued in pets or monsters.
• Fynni Gem: A jewel containing a slumbering Fynni. It can be obtained by defeating a monster that has a soul of a Fynni sleeping within them.
• Fynni Pet: An in-game pet that can be obtained by Blossoming a Fynni Gem. It can only be used in a sub-pet slot when you perform Fynn Sync.
• Fynn Pet: A pet on which Fynn Sync has been performed at least once.
• Fynn Bead: An object in which the latent power of the Fynn is sealed.
• Fynn Bell: A talent-specific equipment item that Pet Trainers need in order to manage the power of the Fynn.

How to be a Pet Trainer

• The '[Pet Training] Shining and Glittering' quest will be given to you when you equip a Fynn Bell, an item which can be purchased from NPC Price’s Shop.
• Progressing through the quest will allow you to obtain a new talent.
• What about Beginner Milletians?
• The 'Beginner's Feathery Fynn Bell' item, and the 'One with the Pet' title will be given by Duncan when you finish the tutorials. After rebirthing, the Pet Training talent will then be unlocked.
• The title becomes unusable past level 1,000.
• Title effects: Will + 25, Luck + 15, HP + 10.

Grow Your Skills as a Pet Trainer

• You can check the new skills on the Life-based Talent menu. These include Fynni Catching, Fynni Blossoming, Fynn Sync, Fynn Crafting, Fynn Bead Burning, Hillwen Engineering, Rare Mineralogy, Magic Craft, Shyllien Ecology.
• The Pet Training talent skills can be used while you have a Fynn Bell equipped.
• The Fynni Catching skill can be used even without having a Fynn Bell equipped. It is a passive skill.

• Fynni Catching is a passive skill that increases the drop rate of Fynni Gems when you defeat monsters containing a Fynni.
• The types of Fynni Gem you can obtain vary depending on the type and the grade of a monster holding one.
• You can obtain a Fynni Gem at a certain chance depending on your Skill Rank when you defeat a monster marked with a Fynni Gem above its head.

• Such monsters can be checked from the Taming section of the Collection Journal, and you can check the grade of the Fynni contained inside those monsters.

• You can grow the Fynni Gems you obtain from monsters through the Fynni Blossoming skill.
• You can purchase or sell items related to the Pet Trainer talent, such as Fynni Gems, through NPC Fionnait, a merchant located in Mag Mell.
• You can obtain a certain amount of Gold, as well as Gold-Leaf Pine Cones upon selling Fynni Pet Whistles (up to 30 per day). When you exceed 30, only the Gold-Leaf Pine Cones will be given.
• The number of times you can sell Fynni Pet Whistles to Fionnait will be reset at 07:00 AM PDT each day in real-time.

• Fynni Blossoming is an active skill that converts the Fynni Gem you obtain from Fynni Catching into a Fynni Pet Whistle.
• The Fynni Blossoming skill can only be used after you install a Blossoming Cage on your Homestead.
• The Blossoming progress continues even while your character is logged off.

Blossoming Cage

• You can install up to a maximum of 4 Blossoming Cages on a single Homestead, regardless of their type.
• Only the owner of the Homestead on which it is installed may use the Blossoming Cage.
• If you don’t have the materials to install the Blossoming Cage, you can use Pon instead.

Fynni Pet - Wolf

What is a Fynni Pet?

• Check it out on the Pet/Partner Information Window.

• Fynni Pets are the physical manifestation of a fairy soul released from a Fynni Gem. They are a unique kind of pet that can be collected in the Taming section of the Collection Journal.
• They are used as catalysts during Fynn Syncing to empower a pet.
• Although their functionality is identical to that of regular pets, they do not age, and cannot level up.
• Any items that affect the level of the pet cannot be used (e.g. Supplements, Pet Golden Experience Fruit, Pet Rebirth Potion).
• Other functionality restrictions include being unable to log in as the Fynni Pet, unable to set names, no pet inventory, perks and Fynn Bead skills not applicable, unable to use in Pet Expeditions, unable to rest at Pet Houses.

• Fynn Crafting is a crafting skill that allows you to craft food for Fynn Pets, as well as basic materials required for Fynn Syncing.
• Crafting bonus based on the talent is not given for the Pet Trainer talent.

What is a Royal Boost Tonic?

• Depending on the Rank of Fynn Crafting, there is an increase in chance for you to craft an Extra-Strength/Maximum-Strength Royal Boost Tonics when you craft for Royal Boost Tonics.
• Use the Royal Boost Tonic item after you summon a Fynn Pet to apply an effect which reduces the amount of time required for a Pet Expedition. [Go to Pet Adventurer Guide]
• If a pet with the tonic effect is included in an expedition team, then the time required for that expedition will decrease for the same amount applied by the effect of the item.
• The minimum time an expedition can take is 5 minutes real time after deductions from tonics.
• The effects of the Royal Boost Tonic will be consumed once the expedition ends.
• If you use the Royal Boost Tonic again when the effect of the item is already applied, then the effect of the item will get overwritten by the newest one.

• You can grow the Fynn Pet into an even stronger one if you use the Fynn Sync skill while you have a pet summoned.
• Fynn Sync is available only for pets whose level is 50 or above.

Fynn Sync UI

Select a Sub-Pet

• Pets with items in their inventory may not be used for Fynn Sync.
• Crossover pets/durational pets may not be used for Fynn Sync (ex. Kokopo, Earth Dragon Patrasche, Green Onion).
• All of the pets registered on a sub-pet slot when performing Fynn Sync will disappear, so make sure you choose carefully!
• You can choose multiple Fynni Pets for Fynn Sync.

Fynn Pets

• Select a Main Pet. Through Fynn Sync, the Main Pet will be reborn as a much stronger Fynn Pet.
• Enemies hit by the Fynn Pet’s regular attacks will not get knocked down, which allows for a continuous stream of attacks.
• Pet obtains the Fynn Pet Mastery skill, which enhances the pet's stats.
• Pet obtains a Fynn Bead Slot, which you can equip with the Fynn Bead equipment.
• You can add Friend Summon Slots, with which you can summon other pets for a brief moment to obtain summon skill effects.
• Absorbs the inventory, as well as the summon duration of the sub-pets to obtain up to a maximum of 3 inventories, and up to a maximum of 23 hours of summon duration.

Learn About Fynn Sync

Cumulative Level

• Absorbs the cumulative levels of the pets registered on the sub-pet slots. (Up to a maximum of 10,000 per each sub-pet)

Pet Points

• Absorbs the Pet Points of the pets registered on the sub-pet slots.

Summon Duration

• Absorbs the summon duration of the pets registered on the sub-pet slots (up to a maximum of 23 hours). The increased summon duration starts being applied at 07:00 AM the next day, which is when the summon duration gets reset.

Inventory

• If the pets registered on the sub-pet slots have inventories, then they will be transferred to the main pet.
  The main pet (Fynn Pet) can have up to 3 inventories.

• If the number of inventories exceeds 3, then you can click the “Exchange” button to select the inventories that you wish to keep.

Pet Perks

• You can obtain a perk at random through Fynn Sync. If the pets registered on the sub-pet slots have perks that the main pet does not, then they will be transferred over to the main pet.
• 3 new Pet Perks (Wild Frenzy, Frozen Earth, Wings of Haste) have been added.

• Enable the option on [Settings > Game > Misc > Display pet skill slots] if you wish to see the pet skills of the Fynn Pet.

Pet Mastery

• Once your pet becomes a Fynn Pet, it will obtain the Fynn Pet Mastery skill, which enhances a variety of stats.
• The Fynn Pet Mastery skill can be ranked up only through Fynn Sync.
• How much the training EXP increases depends on the cumulative level and the type (normal pet or Fynni pet) of the pets that are used as materials, and whether or not you got a Huge Success from the Fynn Sync skill.

Elemental Attributes

• Your pet obtains 1 of the 5 elemental attributes upon becoming a Fynn Pet, and its effects will be activated when your pet performs regular attacks.
• You can start to change the attribute when the rank of your Fynn Sync skill is C or above.
• 1 Transformative Aster Perfume will be consumed when you change the attribute.
• Please be aware that the first pet that you ever perform Fynn Sync on will receive a random element, and you can only change it to one of your choice after reaching Rank C or higher on Fynn Syncing and using the proper perfume.
• The rank of the attribute skills of the Fynn Pet can only be raised through Fynn Sync.

Five Types of Attribute Skills

• There is an effect that represents the attribute skill when the pet is summoned, allowing you to distinguish Fynn Pets from normal pets.
• The attribute effect changes depending on the skill rank.

• Fynn Pets have attribute marks on the Pet/Partner Information Window as well, allowing you to be able to distinguish Fynn Pets from normal pets.

(Fynn Pet with the Uis Element) Fynn Bead Slot

• This is the number of slots on which you can equip Fynn Beads.
• If you have the Courageous Borage Perfume, then you can expand the number of slots by clicking on the Fynn Bead slot located on the very top of the Fynn Sync window.
• You can start adding Fynn Bead slots when the rank of your Fynn Sync skill is 9 or above.
• Different materials are consumed based on which slot you are trying to add.
• 2nd slot: Courageous Borage Perfume x1
• 3rd slot: Potent Courageous Borage Perfume x1

Friend Summon Slot

• You can start adding Friend Summon Slots when the rank of your Fynn Sync skill is 5 or above.
  If you have the Bonding Violet Perfume, then you can expand the number of slots by clicking on the Summon Friend Slot located on the very top of the Fynn Sync window.
• Different materials are consumed based on which slot you are trying to add.
• 1st slot: Bonding Violet Perfume x1
• 2nd slot: Bonding Violet Perfume x2
• 3rd slot: Bonding Violet Perfume x3
• 4th slot: Bonding Violet Perfume x5
• 5th slot: Potent Bonding Violet Perfume x1
• What is Friend Summoning?
  • You can register up to a maximum of 5 normal pets to Fynn Pets that have friend slots.
  • Unlike during Fynn Syncing, pets registered to these slots do not disappear. You must drag and drop the Friend Summon onto an opened slot in order to register it. It is not registered during Fynn Syncing.
  • While your Fynn Pet is summoned, you can summon the other pets for a brief moment to activate the summon skill effects.
  • The summoned pets will be de-summoned after using the summon skill.
  • Once the pets that get summoned from the Friend Summoning skill are de-summoned, the pet summoning cooldown will be applied.
  • If there is a buff on the pet that gets summoned from the Friend Summoning skill, then it will be applied.
  • However, only some of the buffs will stack for pets that get summoned in duplicate.

Fynn Bead Burnishing

• Fynn Bead Burnishing is a skill that awakens a Faded Fynn Bead that you can obtain from Mag Mell Dungeons. This process turns it into a usable Fynn Bead that you can equip to your Fynn Pets to activate new skills.

Burnishing a Fynn Bead

• The control crosshairs move to the right each time you press the directional keys in W>A>S>D order.
• The time remaining will decrease if you fail to input the correct order.
• You will succeed if the control crosshair is located within the area of success.
• There is a better chance of getting the maximum value of the skill rank the closer it is to the reference point.
• You will fail and the Faded Fynn Bead item will be destroyed if the control crosshair is not located within the area of success.

• After summoning a Fynn Pet, you can equip the burnished Fynn Bead by opening the Pet/Partner Information Window (Default hotkey: T).

• You can equip up to 3 Fynn Beads, each with different types.
• You can unlock additional Fynn Bead slots through Fynn Sync.

* The skill rank of Fynn Bead will vary depending on the grade of Fynn Bead.

• You can equip Fynn Beads of different types, or of higher levels on the slots on which you've already equipped a Fynn Bead.
• Example: You have the [Basic Fynn Bead : Floral Shield (Skill Rank C)] equipped, but you equip the [Advanced Fynn Bead : Floral Shield (Skill Rank 8)] over it.

• However, you cannot equip a Fynn Bead having an identical or lower skill rank than the one that's already equipped.
• Example: You have the [Advanced Fynn Bead : Healing Bubble (Skill Rank 6)] equipped, but you try to equip the [Basic Fynn Bead : Healing Bubble (Skill Rank B)]. This cannot be done.

You may equip a Fynn Bead of a different type regardless if it’s a lower rank than the existing Fynn Bead or not.

Fynn Bead : Floral Shield
A Fynn Bead skill that channels the power of the Flower Fynni. It creates a barrier of petals that surround the body, guarding against enemy attacks.

Fynn Bead : Healing Bubble
A Fynn Bead skill that channels the power of the Bubble Fynni. Upon activation, it creates bubbles of rainbow color around the pet. When the master or any party members touch these bubbles, the healing powders will sprinkle in the area, replenishing both HP and MP.
